Discussion Development of L2 CLOSED BETA 2002-2003

hi, i had started development of lineage 2 CLOSED-BETA 

 

 

used client: Lineage 2 Chronicle 2- client (oldest playable client for 2023 year, original CLOSED-BETA client is lost years ago)
used game mechanics: Lineage2 Chronicle 1 mechanics (unavailable macro, not limited recipe book and so on)

main changes:

available territories: starting villages, gludio and gludin territories
available only 1st class transfers
monsters practically not dropping adena (money)
teleport and shots costs reduced 10x times
no blessed spiritshots, no blessed beast spiritshots. 
non class transfer quests are friendly for parties (quest items are given to all party members who have quest, not only to the last attacker)
auto soul/spirit shots (no need to stick match into keyboard to hold the shortcut key)
Gludin PUB and Underground PUB are opened for visitors
top location: Cruma Tower (boss Core will be available in OPEN-BETA)
top boss: Queen Ant

i had created special script folder in my 2023 pack. "script_CBT"

rename original "script" folder to something

then rename "script_CBT" to "script"

note that geodata list is taken from script folder now

You could use the interlude client, since there are so many quality of life changes in newer client interfaces. Also you can easily downgrade client and server stuff as you please. ^^

which client to use is decision of project team

i am single c1pts developer without team. i using c2 because it is oldest playable l2 client

i have next idea. "c1 part 2":

more war between elmoreaden and gracia.

gracian army (ol mahums) already are here but what happening in emore territory is still unknown.

c1 part2 "age of war" lets players to get into madness of war in elmore territory while aden teritory is usual and quiet.
