Hello there!

 

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this.

It’s very simple ! gamesranker.com is a private server ranking platform, similar to many of the ones you're used to, but focused on quality  rather than quantity as you will see in our design and features.

You will not see banners floating everywhere, you will have many features without paying anything.

 

Server owners features:

 

- adding your server on the platform without a headache !

- customized server avatar in the server listing

- 5 custom tags to best describe the server

- customized page header on the server detail page

- the opportunity  to showoff and attract people by uploading fraps from your server to the Video&Fraps section

- also, your players have the possibility to submit custom fraps in the Video&Fraps section and the server admin just approves them

- you can add "Coming soon", "Beta" or "Live" servers

- when a player votes for your server he will be asked to rate or review your server, once a week.

- custom background in server listing ( light background, nothing spamish )

- custom tags in server listing

- reward API

- registered members do not have to complete the captcha every time they vote

- the ability to follow their favorite servers and get updates about them.

- the ability to submit Fraps on the server you play on, and all the people playing there will see it

As a bonus, there will be a draw every 2 weeks, and the wining server will get 500 real facebook likes.

Why in the name of God, all the l2 server ranking sites (except HopZone) provides a voting reward APIs? I though the point of voting is that, you vote if you like the server you playing on, and this "feature" just corrupts the results... only the HopZone team tries to prevent this admins-idiots, to get to the top their piece of garbage. :lol:

Hurray, Hopzone actually has an API system, they released it couple days ago, I am in touch with them and they are planing to extend it even more. Finally you can check for individual, unique ip on HZ as well  :D

Yup. I don't care for "fake" votes to the moment I actually get their vote. With individual vote, you can't cheat it :D

 

Their system is more web friendly, I mean, offers more features. I don't feel like adding json support to the pack just for one thing. Their timestamp, actually it's a nice idea  :P

Just reset your phone and change real ip. Easy (i have a much better method but i won't say it here).

 

Also with some java skills you can make a software to do this for you automatically.

This is true, anyone can do it, but as you said by hand, meaning 1000-2000 captchas to complete.

An easy protection for this is to create a flag algorithm based on Browser dimension / user agent / and some similar stuff  and it will not work, if need be, we will implement it.

127.0.0.1 - ip to check if has voted

the answer will be a JSON {"has_voted":0} or {"has_voted":1}

I believe the sid 'represents' the server id/name? How to get that, from "my server" on your forum? Explain that thing :P

Ahh, now I see (stupid me), you streetwise girl  :lol: But that's the "hard way" to get the id  :D Now, I wonder what's the "easier" way, waiting for author answer :D

Put the mouse over the website link. It uses the id to redirect. :lol:

 

Probably it's provided after the registration. ^^

Yeah, but if your server is not added yet (validation period 1-3 days?), then you couldn't configure it until accepted. But as you said, most likely it's provided @ "my home" , then no problem :D
