Connect To Different Sql Dbs

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello,

Is it possible to connect to other DBs without extenders? e.g: lin2world2 instead of lin2world. This way I could easily swap things for testing on the same PC (not at the same time because of ports, but one step as a time).

Thinking of doing it for GF, to compare with some IL things faster (16Ç9 aspect ratio is incorrect in interlude, its cropping the screen when not in 4:3)

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks.

try editing the ODBC .dsn files, it is the pool to choose the database.. :)

If you want to run tests regarding the resolution, I'd suggest running an l2j due to lightweightness.

Ty for the OBDC tip, gonna look into that. Hope it can redirect the binaries trying to 'talk' to lin2db/lin2world to their 'new' names, so that I can keep both databases.

As I already run l2off I will just stick with it, resources are no problem at all =p

Make 2 diff odbc and when cached ask you for odbc you put in wich order you created the db lin2world :). I already use so.

And ve carefull on ports.
