Server Setup done, next step?

Question

Posted

Hi, first of all I'd like to apologize if this has been asked/answered a hundred times, which I'm sure it has. I'm brand new to "developing" with L2 (messed with other games in the past)

To start off I decided to just get a server up and running with L2J using the latest Nightly build, which I assume to be H5. I also have a clean H5 client.

My question is - I have the server setup and running with my IP etc, I have the database connected, and my hosts file has my IP as the l2auth. Now what I need to do is attach my IP to the l2.exe I assume, is there a particular way of doing this, maybe a tool/program? Or if there is a guide on this if someone can link for me that would be great.

Thanks in advance for any help on this very simple matter :) And again, sorry for asking what I'm sure has been answered too many times before :)

download patched system: http://www.4shared.com/rar/mL_7G6eE/System_CT26_By_Vector.html and paste it into your clean h5 client

after that

download fileedit: http://www.4shared.com/file/nxtbrrwk/File_Edit_CT26_By_Vector.html open it, set your chronicle to h5, open file l2.ini change server address to your ip(can be 127.0.0.1 client and server are on same pc).

Also dont forget to run login server and game server :)

Thank you very much for those, exactly what I needed :)

I had a little problem with running the server (shut off before log in) but that was due to V-Memory.

Now just got a problem with disconnecting after selecting server, but I know I saw a thread about that here, so I'm going to study some and work this out :) Thanks again for the help Vampir.
