Intense Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 There is a post by Koyfo wich talks about how IG walker doesnt send any special packets to the server, but recently people have been talking about IG beeing just as risky as oog if ur using a cracked Ig that does not run gameguard. My question is does it matter if GG isnt running? can NC detect it? Some toughts on this from the more experienced / advanced players would be great. (dont come here replying botting is never safe, cause thats obvious)
sltbnjr Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Of course it matters if GG isn't running.. there are GG queries sent to the client every 2 minutes NC has all the means in place to ban every single botter all at once, it's just that would represent a revenue loss that is too important. They ban a few people every now and then to piss them off instead
mpj123 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Funny thing, most people think walker/divine emulate GG, yet all they can do is not send back a reply to the server and they stay in the game. But i'm sure NCsoft is keeping count of those replys not being sent. lets just put it this way. Nobody is safe :)
sltbnjr Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 NC could ban every single person who ever logged without gameguard working in one single maintenance. But that would mean losing at least one third of the entire NA population. Not a good business plan
scorpius Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 I think for now they are just keeping the records and in future NC can ban any botter randomly which would be worse than banning now itself ...But technically a good part of their income depends on botters & farmers ...If NC wanted to ban them, they could have banned every single botter within less than a day but after that the only way to get things in the game would be to nerd !
