for about 2 days now i cannot get c4 or c5 working.. i have tried everything i can think but nothing.. i've tried a lot of system folderder and nothing.. I've even reinstalled a couple of times and still nothing

I have no firewall installed.. the win firewall is disabled.. and i;ve added l2 to exceptions and still nothing... maybe u guys got some ides.. pls help me

the first message says you have no INTERNET CONNECTION, or a program doesnt allow Gameguard to update!!!!! But how can this be true, since you post here! For C4, you can use the Gameguard disabler, but there isnt anyone for C5 yet! It seems you have a problem :D

 

You can also try deleting your system folder and let the updater download a new one!

i've aldeary tried that .. i deleted and updated.. a few times and nothing... and it couldn't be my internet connection cuz it's always on. the thing is my isp is using a conection protocol named PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) but i've been using this connection for about 1 year and a half and i had no problems

Check the hosts file.

tnx man there was an xtra line with : ip nprotect.something

that was what was causing the game not to start properly
