Mysql to MongoDB

Anyone want's to get into transfering the mysql schema into MongoDB?

i expect answer from the guys that know what impact this is going to have, and what advantages, disadvantages

Well I just read some articles, the main advantage is about the atomicity of the data you store, it's not limited to a format.

 

I read too (dec 2010) the code was kinda ugly and there were issues with multiple cores operations. Probably it has been fixed since that time. Developers of MongoDB said themselves you don't have to change of system if a relational system is enough.

 

In case of L2J (or L2C in your case), most data is using the same format so the main advantage of MongoDB is dropped. In another PoV, I think it can be a nice alternative for both XML/SQL engines, merging all using a single system is always better.

 

There aren't a lot of performances comparison, so I can't really say about it.
