about textures

i wanna start doing something, but i don't know absolutely nothing ..

well i need a guide , of what programs etc.. i need to make new textures on weapons/armors for lineage ...

well already made a weapon , but i have another problem with the black lines at the end of the weapon ... lookin this screen

 

ps. its my 1st work , and 1st time on photoshop and i know it sux so u don't need to be formal with like "good for start " or sumffin just say it sucks

They ain't so bad for first time :)

I think i already wrote somewhere what to do about the lines

When u save DXT file use DXT1 | 1bit alpha or  DXT3 | ex.... alpha . Never use no alpha :D
