How to increase fps with nvidia graphics cards

H1 everyone,

 

I decided to post some tips on how to achieve best fps on your PC.

 

First I wanna show my results

 

 

This is some impressive shit right here 488.2fps 

I should tell you that this number is not constant. As u r playing it changes. this is the highest I could get.

 

Now I wanna make it clear, this is gonna work with Nvidia Graphic cards, no Radeon.

 

I also wanna mention this at the beginning it may or may not work on your PC.

 

There is only one way to find out really... TRY it !

 

I've Vista, so here is what I did step by step.

 

Right Click desktop, Personalize, Display Settings,Advanced Settings, Your video card's name, Start the Nvidia Control Panel

 

 

 

Manage 3D Settings, Program Settings where in the scroll u should find installed hl or cs. If it's not there click add and go to the folder where your CS is installed and choose the exe file (in my case it is hl.exe)

 

 

 

Turn off Antisotropic filtering and Antialising mode.

 

 

Turn off Texture Filtering and Vertical Sync. Click Apply and u r ready to go.

 

 

Start CS

 

Enter our server, open Console and type these commands:

 

fps_max (any number up to 500)

 

cl_cmdrate 101

 

cl_updaterate 101

 

net_graph 4

 

developer 1

 

 

 

Now you are ready to go !
