SMF forums transfer?

Hello guys I wonder if I can transfer my  smf forum with out losing any data to another hosting service

 

for example I do not want to lose posts members configures and all the work that I did , and I want to transfer it with out

losing anything is that possible?

take a backup and restore it in the new host

ow so you mean if I lose my forum I will just restore the backup file and get it as it was the last time that I updated the backup file?

but how with the database (mysql) do I will have to setup it on the new hoster once again with same configuration as the before hoster?

Nope. You take the backup inside a zip file in your computer and u just use it on the new instalation.
