Yes it takes votes. Its usefull for server owners. They can make banners from my website that will show the votes. Example : you have l2test . -> l2test.com And you want to set a banner at your website that will show the exact votes of your server. You will be able to have 3 banners (1.hopzone 2.topzone 3.hopzones) that will show the exact votes of your server "In your site" by using "banner" from my site. Its so simple , why you cannot think of it before post so you posts count will rise.
