The Membership of Naq is FREE. The Members doesnt have to pay for joining the Clan. This money goes to building infrastructure such as a Game Server(s), a Clan TeamSpeak etc. 2) The Clan Organization Naq is based on The Presidential Model This is a Democratic Model for Governing a Clan. In this model, everyone has a idea in the success of the clan. All members pay towards the clan so as to have the right to take part in clan business. One of the benefits includes voting in "cabinet" of individuals who will look after running the clan. All decisions that affect the clan are voted on. As it looks so strict, it works perfectly and the Clan remain alive. A Clan Leader ,Clan Admin etc. is voted by all Members and is selected from Members who is willing to take charge of the Clan. Only the Clan Owner can veto the installation of the new Clan Leader etc. The Head Admins and Clan Admins are chosen by the Clan Leader after consultation from the majority of the rest of the Clan Admins from the pool of applicants. Available position will be posted. 3) Standards As long as clan members wear their Clan Tags, they represent all the individuals in that clan. Bad behavior reflects poorly on all the Members. The behaviors should not exceed what you, as clan leader, and your clan-mates are prepared to tolerate. Some younger Clans have no problem with swearing for example. Older clans will ban you instantly for this. Personaly, we do not accept people who swear like a trailer driver. Behaviors that are unethical, or infringe on basic human rights should not be tolerated at all. Harassment, whether its on the basis of race, sex, religion, or nationality should come with severe penalties and be treated swiftly and with significant care by a clan's authorities. 4) Basic Rules Fundamental rules for Naq clan. DO Have fun Be friendly to everyone and treat people with respect Behave with dignity wherever you are - once you were the clan's tags you represent us. Show up and participate in clan activities Treat your clan members like they were part of an extended family. DO NOT Cheat Hack Swear or piss anyone on clan sites Bring your ego into the gameserver Crying over the servers telling the enemies are hacking. Be a sore winner Be a sore loser Be a braggart 5) TAGS Naq is our Tag. Only Clan Members are allowed to use it with pride. Anyone who use it without authority will be banned in the server. 6) TIPS FOR MEMBERS AND STANDARDS OF CONDUCT For a Player, joining a Clan should provide you with: -Greater gaming knowledge which will allow you to become a better player -Greater technical knowledge about your hobby -Friendship and fun interaction. -Competition and challenge. -Chance to be a Leader. -If you are not a people-person, you probably should not join a clan. 7) Steps for Promotion A Member will generally progress through the following steps of promotion during their time in the Clan: Clan Recruit → Clan Member → Forum Moderator → Clan Admin → Head admin → Clan Leader A) Appropriate Online Images- We know many of you are proud of your image, and want to encourage you to be yourself. However, please monitor you photos effectively and make them appropriate and not extreme. If at anytime there are inappropriate photos found, you may be asked to remove it, or even lose member rights in Naq Clan. B) The general guidelines to follow on appropriate images are the following: -No full or partial nudity (defined as any image with at least half of the breasts or buttocks showing). -No image that is meant to represent a sexual position or pose while partially clothed. -No images suggesting illegal alcohol or substance usage. C) Suggestions- Naq Clan encourages all Members to make suggestions and provide ideas and feedback as to how to make the Clan a better place and enhance service to Members. A Member who sees an opportunity for improvement is encouraged to talk it over with their Leader, who can help bring the ideas to the attention to the appropriate individuals who are responsible for possibly implementing them. All suggestions are valued, and if a suggestion is not being followed up on by a Leader, post them in the private forums. D) Information Confidentiality and Nondisclosure- Naq Clan sincerely hopes that its relationship with its Members will be long-term and mutually rewarding. By accepting Membership with the Clan, Members agree that they will not disclose or use any Naq Clan confidential information, either during or after their membership. This includes: -Clan procedures and/or manuals, Member's Handbook. -Passing information from restricted access forums to a Member or a friend that do not have the appropriate permissions, -I.E. a Leader discussing issues or topics from the Leader's section with a Member, Naq Members discussing topics or issues located in the Naq areas or discussing Clan topic or issues in Member's area with Non-Members, etc. Misuse of confidential information could result in suspension or termination. E) General Harassment Policy Naq Clan does not tolerate any form of harassment. Included in this definition (but not limited to), is: -Offensive signatures/avatars directed at Members -Words/signs -Offensive jokes/cartoons -Pictures -Forum threads/posts/blogs -E-mails, visitor messages, PM's or in-game statements, -Pranks -Intimidation or physical contact/violence/assaults Any Member that is found to be acting in a harassing any way toward any player period, Clan Member or not, is grounds for Disciplinary Action and/or termination from the Clan with no prior Disciplinary Action. Always respect fellow Clan Members. At no time is it okay to bad-mouth, disrespect or talk down to any fellow Clan Members, even if it is intended in a joking manner. Naq Clan Members are expected to be respectful of not only fellow Clan Members and other members of the gaming community, but also to respect themselves. While representing Naq in-game, on forums, at events, and in pre-game or post-game lobbies, Naq Clan Members are expected to act with cooler heads, and rise above the situation. Naq Clan does not expect every single Member to get along with each other. Just like in a traditional family, there are personality clashes, etc. If Members find themselves in this situation, Naq Clan expects the Members to behave as adults, and seek alternative solutions to remedy the situation. If conflict continues to cause disruption, it may result in Disciplinary Actions. If a situation does arise, promptly direct any issues to person who is being offensive. If the behaviour continues, please direct issue to the appropriate immediate Leader (Clan Admins or Head Admin or Clan Leader). There is always going to be “slang” for things both in-game and outside of it. As a gaming community that focuses on supporting females in gaming and the young children, we should respect the usage of certain words while in game play. Because we are all from different backgrounds, and we do all not know the events that may have occurred, we should be careful in the "slang" words that sometimes get tossed around. If you have a problem with any words or phrases you hear other members saying, please let them know it offends you and let a leader know. Members will be warned if their behavior continues to be inappropriate or disrespectful and additional action may be taken. F) FILTER OUT NEW RECRUITS Consider having new members being voted into the clan by the whole active membership. A clan member should sponsor the new prospect and be responsible for telling the others why they deserve to be inducted as a clan member. -Clan-hoppers: those that have been in more than a few clans. These guys are experienced trouble makers. Remember to check a prospective player's history before letting them in the clan. Google them. You can usually find a post or two that they have made which will usually tell you what they are like. -Quitters: if someone once quit your clan, consider against letting them back in. Statistics indicate that they will just quit again. -Cheaters/Hackers: Background checks (...again, Google is great for this) should be made to determine if this person has ever been caught hacking or cheating. -Temperament: Play for a few weeks (minimum) with the proposed recruit on your servers. Gauge their temperament. Are they sore losers? Sore winners? A mixture of confidence and humility makes the best clan and team member. G) Clan Member to Forum Moderator to Clan Admin TRANSFER Naq recognizes that a desire for clan growth, new interests, and other needs may lead a member to request a transfer to another level. A member is eligible to transfer from Clan Member to Forum Moderator to Clan Admin provided: The Member has fully passed Clan Recruit and Clan Member Recruitment. -A transfer does not occur within 3 month. -Skills and forum activity is improved. -The Member has not been suspended for previous disciplinary action. Transfer Procedure: A Clan Admin sends a PM to a Clan Member or Forum Moderator Member for transfer after a Secret Membership Voting
