I will tell you why AMD is cheaper than Intel. AMD consumes alot of power and runs very hot. Intel is more expensive because they use better technology than AMD[+ more cache]. Intel Core 2 Quad uses 45 nanometer technology which consumes less power but at the same time increases performance so its energy efficient, cooler and faster. AMD Phenom is still on 65 nanometer so for people that want to overclock which is better? Intel always comes out with the latest stuff and AMD copies what they innovated.
