Can someone kindly explain to me What exactly is a c4d?

I know it is a piece of art. Is it like a picture of whatever, a stock photo?

or is there some kind of add on or smthing?

Well I am planning to make a gfx dictionary so you will be able to learn it there but till then:

C4D has two gfx meanings.

The first one -and the most known by the newbies- is the render that is way confusing.You know!Nothing meaningful,but a render/apophysis!

The 2nd is the Cinema4D program!

The meaning of it,is Cinema4D...

 

Its something like a 3D picture and if you can edit and transform it in the right way it can make your photo/sig perfect..

Cinema4D is a program and a type of gfx files....

And you can make perfect sigs without using c4d's too!
