It seems application ID's have changed with the protocol 48 update, and this has stopped your servers showing up in the Steam server browser. It also causes a STEAM validation rejected error when you try and join them too.

This fixed the issue for me and a few others running Sven Co-op servers, but should do for any HL1 game once you know the new application ID.

Go to the mod folder within your HLDS installation, and create a text file steam_appid.txt. Inside, you just put the number for the new Steam application ID. Just a number. Nothing else.

List of new app ID's

Half-Life Deathmatch and GoldSrc 3rd Party Mods (valve, ns, svencoop, and others): 70

Counter-Strike 1.6 (cstrike): 10

Counter-Strike: Condition Zero (czero): 80

Day of Defeat 1.3 (dod): 30

Deathmatch Classic (dmc): 40

Opposing Force Deathmatch (gearbox): 50

Ricochet (ricochet): 60

Team Fortress Classic (tfc): 20

Please reply with new app id's once you find them and we can have them all here.

Checking if the fix worked

You can find out if it's working by putting status in your server console, or rcon status from in game:

version : 48/1.1.2.1 4382 secure (20) <- Before I made the steam_appid.txt file.

version : 48/1.1.2.1 4382 secure (70) <- After I made the steam_appid.txt file.

That should help you right?
