This is a really cool program created mostly for unix systems  but can be used in windows too.

Great program, especially for companies, the photoshop software is way too expensive and for ppl who don't have a chance and actually need to have softwares with a licence, then gimp is the ultimate alternative to photoshop.

 

u guys know if it's just freeware or it's also opensource? i don't feel like searching for it in source-forge -.-

u just go on the page and you'll see its open source. its GPL licensed. theres also an easy scripting system so even noobs can make some nice scripts.

its not as good as photoshop in every area, buts its quite decent once you get used to it
