Relationships between colors

 

There are a couple of relationships between colors wich will define good color combinations.

choosing the right colors is essentially for making an appealing tag.An easy tool to use when searching for good color combination is the color wheel show below

Below you will also see the different color relationships that define good color combinations.

Monochromatic: Colors that are shade or tint variations of the same hue.

Note that in tags this monotone looks is not ideal and most of the time boring if not used in combination with other colors

Complementary: Colors that are across from each other on the color wheel complement each other and give very pleasing results.

Split Complementary: One hue plus others equally spaced from its complement can make your sig look more dynamic.

Double Complementary: 2 Complementary color sets of wich the distance between each set on the color wheel will effect the contrast of your final result.

Analogous: The colors adjacent to each other on the color wheel can give nice result in some situations.

Triad: 3 Hues positioned at equal distances of each other on the color wheel can deliverrich eye-pleasing tags.
