[Help]Ddos Protection

Hello,

 

I want to move my server to be collocated to hyperfilter.com, there i would have the ddos protection from hyperfilter for any server i would open so it's a big plus instead of paying for ddos protection with reverse proxy.

My question is this: is hyperfilter protection enough to protect a big server, the project is very big we will  have competition like e-global and l2tales.

I see some have ddos protection from ovh, I read that e-global had from nkeep, are they using multiple protections or are those protection better? 

 

Everywhere I read, they say hyperfilter is the best but very few use it, I know that they are expensive bug big projects do not have problems with the bugget.

If you actually had a 'big' project (in DDoS protection terms), you'd obviously opt for Arbor Networks, Inc.

They can mitigate DDoS attacks as large as 300 * 8 = 2400 Gbit/s, retaining legit user traffic without notable delay.

 

But for a small project with several thousands of users, HF is okay. Just make sure to subscribe to their (since you will collocate) announcements to notify users of the possibility of issues during maintenance/upgrade testing (e.g. possible HVS malfunction if you also host the website there).

well yes, several thousand players on each server, i consider it a big project in the lineage 2 world.

So hyperfilter is ok, website is hosted separately on hyperfilter web hosting, it will not be on the collocated PC.
