Wings are pretty bad quality whatever client they'r used in, but i guess you know how wings are..

If you use the search bar, theres plenty of guides telling how to adapt differnet stuff for different clients.

Yes, you are right. But it is not the easiest thing for a newbie. I was happy when I managed to add them. But they are in a weird position. The wings aren't in the middle of your back :S
