True about connection lost sometimes but their support is the main part of a customer/Viewer of the company.

Host Gator is not bad. They have average performance on shared and their VPS are just ok as far as performance. Support is usually pretty good. If you have a higher traffic site or blog or anything that is a bit heavy on database use stay away from them as their nodes and servers are very full and Disk IO performance is poor. But the average low traffic site most likely won't notice it.
