Hello guys, I am a new one in this forum.

 

I would like to say in the beginning a big sorry for making a new topic about this, but anyways the old one is already a year old.

 

I've started to create my own private server: installed mysql 5.5, navicat, java jdk 7, and last but not least I downloaded from l2java project the "L2J_UNSTABLE_SERVER + L2J_UNSTABLE_DATAPACKS" (High Five Unstable? I think  ???), compiled them in eclipse with 1.6 compiler because somehow the others made me errors to build the sources.

After that I followed strict line but had problems to build the database with .bat file - so I created it myself putting 1 by 1 .xml in navicat premade DB's. As far as I can tell I am running a login and a gameserver (not LIVE - for now just PRIVATE).

I can login until I have to choose the server, from that moment on I get disconnected - and the following line:

"Your protocol is a different version, please continue"

is standing on the upper screen. I already (un-)installed Freya Client, (un-)Freya High Five, (un-)High Five -> not even one version worked, still the same error message! I am getting close to mad, because I have invested alot of time to begin understanding from scratch, now I got some things I made up myself but still this is the one thing I need to go further. Also I have modified the host file as usual - otherwise I wouldn't be able even to login to that point where the server name is visible. Usual three ports are opened for incoming/outgoing!

(I use Win 7 Ult. 64bit) btw.

 

So is there any L2 Client version out there (a specifical one) which I have to use for my L2J_UNSTABLES (High Five Server+Data?) - Sources are build about a few days ago. Or do I need an even older client, if so which one or do I miss something else?  :-\

 

Any help or steps to forward this case would be very appreciated.  :D

I had the same problem too.But I was using freya client.To fix it I updated my freya client to the latest official client.But when I did it there was not High-Five client...

Hi there,

 

so you would suggest to check for full updates the original l2.exe not included in the system folder of high five (or the freya client)?

Because I don't want to waste again alot of time to reinstall and reconfigure ;).

I finally solved the problem. But when I connected and got ingame the server crashed after trying to spawn TvT-Event-Manager :S, I couldn't solve this issue, so I moved to a newer revision, as a result autoinstall.bat and registergameserver.bat won't work as they should.

I am now close to go insane, can maybe somebody help me to do that step by step? I am not stupid, and I know what I was reading and viewing all the time in tutorials...but somehow I am moving backwards instead of finishing and finalizing my private server :S.

I finally solved my problem - by reinstalling and recompiling a new revision - TvT event manager does not make the crashes to the server anymore now, but for some reason, the server lags and the character moves by 30-60seconds delay *LOL*, so I have to kill the process to be able to react with my PC.

 

So that's another story, please close the topic!
