from l2net FAQ:

"Q: I have Direct-X 10 but still get errors on L2.NET start-up about Direct-X.

+    L2.NET requires Managed Direct-X, more specifically you need the August 2008 Direct-X library.

+    It does not come with Windows, its something extra you have to download and install.

+    To get the August 2008 Direct-X library, just download the Direct-X Installer or search Google for "Direct-X End-Time User Runtime" it will detect what you need for your Direct-X and OS version, then download, and install"

from many MANY forums/websites/chat logs - everyone says i need to install this directx library

question is - HOW DO I INSTALL IT?

i download this file, open it, it says i need to Extract files somewhere so i extract them in 1 folder on desktop (still no installation going), after that i find "DXSETUP" in between those files and INSTALL it still nothing changes.

things i tried to do to fix this:

1) reinstalling windows

2) trying this on a different computer

3) reinstalling windows on a different computer -_-

4) iv downloaded and "installed" ~20 of these direct x links (most of the links are different but i dont care at this point, i just download and install anything)

5) tried downloading different versions of l2net, some versions gave me like  10000 errors when i launch them, some didnt launch at all

like seriously, how the hell do i install it? do i extract it to some special directory? do i extract those other "extractable" files and install them? wtf is going on here im completely lost.. ???

btw long time ago (like 4-6months ago), iv asked not only this forum but many others too to help me with this, and as u can see i still dont know how to fix this :)
