OK. I've just formated my disk and installed Windows XP Professional 32-bit English version, and when i try to open a program located to the second hard disk (D:/), actually a setup, i get several errors .. Let me mention some of them below ...

1. Error: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

2. PackageForTheWeb Error: Unable to open the self-extracting executable file. The file is locked or in use by onother process. The installation will terminate.

I'd like you to anwer me as soon as possible, thanks.

ps. When i copy the file to the C:/ directory i can open it without errors.

Check if your hard drive is installed corectly, and recognised by your pc. Check if it is plugged correctly, and then try reinstalling and changing the name to D:\ or G:\ if it is not like that...

1. My second hard disk (D:/) was working correctly before i format my hard disk (C:/) ...

2. The second hard disk is in the tower so it's correctly pluged

3. Changing the name of the disk wont work

EDIT- I mislooked that you find solution.

I think your C: is NTFS and D: is FAT and you have/had a problem with too long folder/file name

I guess your folder name was longer than 8 characters.
