Unfortunately it is not 2005-2010 anymore... Most of the community from those days is "grown up" and probably does not play games anymore (or at least no MMOs). I think anything related to MMOs will be a nail in the coffin.

I understand that it is hard to let the thing you've built for years to "just die". I assume most people got into programming, so maybe you can try something in that direction. But then again, this is a very niche community.

We need to think of something to bring the people together. I think events may be really fun, but then you would probably need to add prizes n order for the people to participate.

So yea, just my 2 cents. Hopefully somebody can come up with some great idea so we can revive this place. I've already forgotten it for the last couple (5-6) years...

Not true, if you know exactly what u are doing and depending on the type of data, but using the ctor and dtor with new/delete will always guarantee safety.

Its really sad to see that noone realises that a forum is not all about the content, but the comunity and its actions. All I see from the past few years is people hatin on each other. Being in a comunity is about having fun and helping people, but u all do is the exact opposite.

And about redesigning the forum, completely unnecessary imo. If i was at your place I'd do the following things.

1. Instead of wasting money on redesign (why fix something if it aint broken), maybe organise monthly/weeksly ? tournaments on the FOTM games with small prizes.

2. Maybe rent a TS server.

3. Get mods separeted by games, so they can interact better with the comunity and create content like news/events for the given game. Get a section for upcoming games higher up than down at the bottom.

4. Try to think of other ways to unite the comunity. (different activities/events).

5. I just saw, the l2 section is huge and unnecessary, I'd swap that with the LOL section.

So to the topic :). As an old school olayer i am sick of recent stalone servers and i was waiting for some stable serv that wont be wiped after 1 - 2 months. And i found it. This is good serv with nice staff that wont just ignore you. I hope i meet other ppl that i've played around last year and looking forward to the grand opening.
