I've spent alot of time on l2j and wondering if it'll be worth it to start all over again with l2emu or l2jfree.

L2emu seems to be most popular (Maybe faster development and less bugs)?

But what exactly is the difference between L2j and L2emu ??

What about L2jfree ?? I'm currently stuck as to whether to switch over to l2emu or even l2jfree.

Hi, is it possible to make a npc that will exchange items randomly ??

For example, I bring a coupon to the npc and it will randomly select an item in exchange.

I have some basics in making a npc, but this one probably requires ai..

I think I've found out why some enchant works and some don't. When the enchant scrolls run out, l2net still registers the scroll in the inventory. When you buy some more scrolls, it doesn't add to the first one but instead registers as a second group of identifcal scrolls. When you run the script again, it keeps trying to use the scrolls in the first group which doesn't exist anymore as it ran out. The only way for me to keep the script working is to always have more enchant scrolls than needed. Perhaps a bug ?

There seems to be something wrong with the script. It wouldn't stop enchanting the same weapon. But thats a small problem I'll just put one weapon at a time in the inventory.

I usually use the item or buy the item, then copy the name from the l2.net chat window.

Well in my case, its displayed in chinese in the chat windows ^^'

Excellent I finally managed to get it working. What I did was go into bot option, set item, and use the name displayed there instead. I think this can be used in all clients. I must say the enchant speed is beautiful ^0^.

thanks alot to both. I forgot to mention that I did try the english name first before the chinese names. Perhaps the server itself is chinese as well ? All other scripts seems to run ok. How do I open the data file?  perhaps it will give me some clues.

hmmm, well this bot was never really tested on chinese clients, but that could be arranged. If you would like to get in contact with slothmo about this, he could most likely make it happen. The l2.net already supports chinese characters.

Not sure how to do that since I don't know slothmo, perhaps you could pass the word ?  thanks alot. I also noticed the l2net ingame setting is a bit confusing, e.g. heal/buff delay = seconds, items delay =milli seconds.

Doesn't seem to work with non-english versions of L2 client. I'm using chinese L2 client and it can't detect the name of the item no matter what.
