  1. So far BDs werent found OPed, also those classes with the custom skill transfer cannot use the transfered skills (except retail transfer skills) in oly. Bishop/Cardinal will never get nukes as transfer skills.
  2. OP? Why not try it yourself to see if its OP? If it was OP, the BETA would've been full of BDs, but I dont see any BDs there.
  3. Well, thats the point of the healers :) Better focus on them first, or you will get owned.
  4. The thing is, If you dont take heavy armor mastery, you wont get 35% critical resistance. Since BDs are low on HP, the criticals they take will HURT, A LOT. A dagger can probably kill a BD with 2-3 backstabs. Blade Dancers are turned into a decent damage dealers, but they are still walking bonuses with their low HP and defense.
  5. An actively developed server with tons of features, offering you the thrill of pvp, the fun of raiding and farming and lets not forget the bargaining which most pvp servers lack. Chose your way to get stronger - PvP, Farm, Raid, Trading, even by playing Poker. Each part is crucial to develop the ultimate character, and there is only one thing connecting them - Trade. Everything is based on the server's economy, you can literally just PvP and get everything you need. We are not newbies - We have 2 years experience as a team running a successful server. The team consists of experienced java developers, system administrators and network managers. Powerful dedicated machine hosted on a place where we can easily reach (some of us work at that company): OS Linux: Ubuntu 10.04 64bit Motherboard: Supermicro X8DTL-iF - Dual 1366-pin LGA Sockets - Intel® 5500 (Tylersburg) Chipset - Intel ICH10R SATA 3.0Gbps Controller - RAID 0, 1, 10 support (Linux) - LAN - Intel® 82574L Gigabit Ethernet 2x 1000Mbit + 1x 1000Mbit (Dedicated IPMI) - CPU: 2x E5620 Quad Xeon 64bit @ 3Ghz, 12M Cache, 5.86 GT/s Intel® QPI, Bus Speed 1333Mhz - RAM: 32GB(ordered and waiting 16GB more) DDR3 ECC 1333MHz (3-channel) - HDD: 2x WD VelociRaptor 10000RPM (RAID-1) Model: WD1500HLFS The server is "bulletproof": no bots, no packet hacks, and specially - DDoS protected. The server goes LIVE at 01.10.2011 (the server can and will be improved during beta) General Features: Buffs: 26+4(divine inspiration), triggers dont take buff slot. Dances/Songs: 15 Armors/Weapons/Jewels/Dyes will be free, except Vorpal, Elegia and top S84 weapons. On every pvp kill, you will get a reward. Every raidboss in the game is farmable, they drop Vorpal, Elegia, Top S84 Weapons, clan skill items and other stuff. Killstreak system. Enchants: - Normal - 60% and break weapon. - Blessed - 60% and no break weapon. - Crystal - 60% and can enchant from +13 to +16. When fail you lose -1 enchant. - Divine - 100%. - Max enchant - +13. - Max special enchant - +16. - Safe enchant - +4. Instant lvl 85, instant equip, subclass level - 85. Full NPC Buffer, buffs last infinite. Skills damage is increased in order to prevent autoattack pvps. Damage Over Time (DOT) Skills' damage increased drastically. Canceled buffs will recover after 1 minute. Many class balances done. Event Manager: A great event manager with many available events to keep the players entertained. Hourly Events: - Team vs Team - Capture the Flag - Domination - Mass Domination - Deathmatch - Last Man Standing - There are/will be more events. Constant Events: - Single player fights (such as 1v1, FFA, etc.) - Party fights (such as 2v2, 5v5, 2v2v2, 5v5v5, etc.) - Korean Style Party fights (such as 2v2, 5v5 etc.) - Mini TvT (same as TvT, but with less players and can always be played) Hellbound System: There are 4 conquerable zones at Hellbound: - Anomic Foundry - Battered Lands - Hellbound Quarry - Ancient Temple A zone can be conquered when a member of a clan kills the Zone Guard. If a Zone Guard is killed by a clanless player, the zone becomes neutral. If a zone is owned by a clan (its not neutral), the Zone Guard cannot be hit by players from the owner clan, alliance members of the owner clans, or party members in a party with players from the owner clan. Everyone else can attack the Zone Guard and conquer the zone. One clan can't hold more than one zone, but it can participate in the other zone sieges. Every zone has 3 artifacts: - Every artifact can be owned by a clan. By default, when a zone is conquered, all artifacts are owned by the zone owner. - The title of the artifact displays the zone owner. - When an enemy of the artifact owner talks with the artifact, he automatically starts to cast a spell (simlar to seal of ruler) and when the cast is finished, the clan of that player gets the artifact (if the player is clanless, it becomes neutral). - If the zone owner, or an ally clan of the zone owner doesn't own an artifact that belongs to that zone anymore, a zone siege is launched for 1 hour. For the whole duration of the siege, the Zone Guard is spawned. - If an enemy of the artifact owner gets near the artifact, there is a chance that this player will be affected by a debuff casted from the artifact. There is a special NPC in each zone, which handles the following upgradable functions: - Every 6 hours the owner clan recieves clan reputation score. - A buffer that can buff you with some enchanted buffs. - Airship controller, which allows you to drive airships in the world of Aden. - A special shop where you can buy stuff with fame. - The ability to ride a wyvern for everyone. - Adena stash, which generates and stashes a given percent of adena from every pvp reward a clan member obtains. On every start of the month the functions' upgrades reset. Only an ally member (including party members in a party with players from the owner clan) can talk with the NPC. Hellbound Pillars: Every hour there is a chance that a pillar will spawn at hellbound for a random amount of time. These are created in order to stimulate players for "pvp to farm mobs". - Some spawned pillars will be announced, others not, so keep in mind that you can find a pillar even if not announced. - The pillars can be attacked, but they also have some guards that defend them. - A random number of guards respawn each minute to defend the pillar. - Pillar guards are quite challenging, but the also have very high drop. - Killing a pillar will reward the killer with a nice drop and his clan with 5000 reputation score. Forgotten Temple: This is a zone suited for clans where they can raid, farm and pvp with other clans which wants the same. Forgotten Temple is seperated on 2 areas - fire and water. There are 5 different raid bosses there and only one spawn at a time in one of the two areas: - If the raidboss is not engaged in a fight after 10 minutes of its spawn, it will unspawn and another raidboss will spawn in the same area. - If the spawned raidboss is located in the fire area, mobs spawn in the water area. - If the spawned raidboss is located in the water area, mobs spawn in the fire area. - When the raidboss gets killed, mobs will spawn on the area where the boss was spawned. - Another boss will spawn after some time in a random area and mobs will unspawn from that area. The raid bosses and the mobs at Forgotten Temple will drop items required for Hellbound Zones upgrades. Poker Manager: Play texas hold 'em poker inside Lineage II, feel the real poker thrill by bidding adena and other items. If you dont want to pvp or farm to get a gear, this is the way :) Deadman's chest: When a player dies, there is a chance that a chest spawns on his corpse (the bigger killstreak he has, the bigger the chance is). When someone approaches the chest and talks with it, a random thing will happen: - The dead player (if hasnt went to village) will be ressurected and buffed with salvation - The chest explodes and does a random damage to nearby players - The chest drops a random item(s) - The person that talked with the chest have a chance to steal one of the dead player's (if hasnt went to village) items that is not equipped - The chest gives a cool buff to a random player Item Copier: When you kill a player, there is a small chance (the bigger the enemy's killstreak is, the bigger the chance is) that you can copy his equipment for 1 hour. You are free to chose if you want to use it or not. Fame: Except sieges, fame can be gathered through PvP. On your fifth killstreak you start to aquire fame for each kill you do without dieing. Enchants/Life Stones: When you kill a player, there is a chance that you can obtain EWS, EAS, High-Grade Life Stone, Top-Grade Life Stone. Dynamic Weapon Elementals: When you kill someone holding a weapon with 300 element or more, it loses some of its elemental power. If your weapon has 300 elemental attribute or more and the killed one's weapon elemental attribute surpasses yours, you will gain the amount he lost. If your weapon's elemental attribute surpasses the killed one's elemental attribute by 25 or less, you gain 5 elemental attribute. Summary, dynamic weapon elements only change from 300 to 450. They cant go higher or lower. Item Distribution: When a player is in party, the items he obtains through pvp kill are distributed depending on the party's loot distribution: - Finders Keepers: The killer takes everything he got as a drop from the killed player. - Random: The drop is given to a random player from the party. Adena is splitted and given to every party member. - Random including spoil: The drop is given randomly to the looter or the healers in the party. Adena is splitted and given to every healer in the party including the killer. Support Classes boost: Some support classes (more incoming) will have the ability to get some skills from other classes. Blade Dancers and Sword Singers can chose up to 5 skills, while Shillien Elders, Elven Elders and Bishops can select up to 4. Those skills cannot be used by these classes in the olympiad games. Here is a list of the skills avaiable for those classes (skills will be added/removed in order to create a balance): - Blade Dancers: Heavy Armor Mastery, Pain of Shilen, Spirit of Shilen, Touch of Death, Combat Aura, Judgment, Lightning Strike, Ultimate Defense, Sonic Focus, Sonic Mastery, Triple Slash, Sonic Blaster, Sonic Buster, War Cry, Double Sonic Slash, Sonic Storm, Triple Sonic Slash, Lionheart, Duelist Spirit, Sonic Rage, Weapon Blockade, Final Secret, Maximum Focus Sonic, Bow Mastery, Double Shot, Light Armor Mastery, Long Shot, Stun Shot, Quick Step, Rapid Shot, Dead Eye, Fatal Counter, Lethal Shot, Hamstring Shot, Evade Shot, Seven Arrow, Multiple Shot, Death Shot, Ghost Piercing - Swordsingers: Heavy Armor Mastery, Shield Mastery, Shield Strike, Guard Stance, Combat Aura, Tribunal, Aegis, Shield Deflect Magic, Shield Fortress, Shield Bash, Ultimate Defense, Vengeance, Magical Mirror, Touch of Life, Iron Shield, Challenge for Fate, Bow Mastery, Double Shot, Light Armor Mastery, Long Shot, Quick Step, Stun Shot, Burst Shot, Rapid Shot, Blessing of Sagittarius, Rapid Fire, Lethal Shot, Hamstring Shot, Evade Shot, Seven Arrow, Multiple Shot, Arrow Rain, Death Shot - Shillien Elders: Curse Chaos, Curse Fear, Hurricane, Shadow Flare, Slow, Surrender To Wind, Vampiric Claw, Death Spike, Tempest, Aura Flash, Aura Symphony, Demon Wind, Elemental Storm, Dark Vortex - Elven Elders: Aura Bolt, Aura Flare, Curse Fear, Curse Weakness, Frost Bolt, Solar Flare, Hydro Blast, Surrender To Water, Aqua Splash, Ice Dagger, Aura Flash, Frost Wall, Aura Symphony, Blizzard, Elemental Symphony Healers Penalty: When a Shillien Elder or Elven Elder casts a damage dealing skill obtained through skill transfer (such as Hurricane, Hydro Blast, etc.), the following skills will be disabled for 2 seconds: - Greater Battle Heal, Greater Group Heal, Greater Heal, Vitalize, Mass Vitalize, Major Heal, Major Group Heal, Chain Heal, Blessed Blood, Blessing of Eva, Body of Avatar More info in our forums: Forum, Server development info, Beta info & how to connect.
  6. As I said, noobs wont understand what I mean, go defend your fav fork fanboys, its good to know that they have someone to support them :) Me and UnAfraid already made ALPHA version for this, but it just needs a lot of testing and we cant work on it now since we have other priorities atm.
  7. The script is simple and ok codded, but why not make global variables for min level and required pvp kills?
  8. The code doesn't seem clean, in the bypasses you use the same checks over and over again, there can be a better approach than this. Other than that, the system looks ok.
  9. Doesn't have any security at all, you can easily get your DB hacked through this script.
  10. o.o 0.0 O.O? L2J sucks? It is the worst L2 Server Emulator??? I wont give a comment about that, noobs will ignore what I say. L2J's team are fails? Ehm, excuse me, you will never reach L2J's Senior/IC devs level. About the team's behavior, i cant disagree, but can you see that its your fault? You treat L2J's team like sh*t, and thats why you get the same treatment. Years ago when L2J's community wasnt infested by "parasites", the devs were really friendly. You wonder why L2J dont work together with other forks? When someone contributes something at L2J, he expects some feedback, but since other devs who arent in L2J's team feel more pro having their own fork, they just leech it, in many cases they remove the credits so it could count as "their" work, and let the noob devs think that the devs of that for are pros. But wait, if this is what most of the forks do, i cant tell that they are even devs, since all they do is copy/paste stuff from others? Ok, lets get back, so, that guy who contributed his patch expects feedback, but no one from the community cares about him, they just care for themselfs. L2J devs do not commit those works, because they need feedback about it too, they will never commit something untested, only because L2J relies a lot on stability. Now, why all forks fail? Its not because L2J is sh*tty, actually its the opposite, you cant get more stable base than L2J, they fail because they add untested stuff, and since they dont give any feedback to the creator, they have to fix the bugs caused by that stuff on their own, but since all they do is copy/paste, they do not have the knowledge to fix it, in the end, this for turns into a bugland, I do not care if it has 123123 more features than L2J, will I need them if I cant properly run a server, because it is full of bugs? L2JFree was the second best L2J based fork after L2Phoenix, and do you know why? Because it had real devs (im talking about 2-3, and idk if they still work there), not copy/pasters. But, L2JFree, why do you blame L2J for your failure? L2J server doesnt have anything to do with your failure, even the opposite, you have succeeded thanks to L2J (why? think about it), one of the things which lead you to failure was synching with L2J, you had a lot of stuff, but it was dirty codded and it was causing synching with L2J to be harder and harder, until you started to do mistakes while synching on hand since L2J's patches coudnt normally apply to your pack. And when time passes, small bugs from not propper synching with L2J start to stack and stack and stack, until now, when L2JFree became bugland too, and you blame L2J for all those bugs??? If everyone was nice enough to support L2J's community and its devs instead of being selfish, L2J would shine. But no, you guys (im tolking to those selfish wannabes) want others to think that you are pro, and you have to go on the easy way - found a fork and stuff. Maybe noobs really see you are a pro, but thats because they dont understand much, in the eyes of the real devs, you are nothing more than a complete wannabe dev. If you really want others to respect you as a good developer, first you have to be such. Everything starts from small and gets big, if you stay and give feedback, eventually learn more, you will start sharing stuff too, and since you will get more feedback, you will be more motivated, the more motivated you get, the more you work -> the better you become, eventually you will be at the same level as the real devs who can do something, then not only noobs will approve you, other devs will approve you too, they wont see you as a wannabe, and who knows, maybe you will become good enough and join L2J's team. This is how it should be, not like it is now. Oh, and L2JFree guys, look at your mistakes, do not blame others for your mistakes. You are way too arrogant. L2JFree Genesis will fail.
  11. I'm one of the first users of this engine, what can I say... It just kicks ass. I don't know how this guy had the nerves to do all that HTML work for the ingame control panel, but it just rocks, its so easy to manage your events. I've never seen such flexible events, you can manage almost every possible thing you can think of for an event. As for the code part, I kinda unpacked the jar file and saw how it looks - clean, object orientated and nice use of abstract classes. Compared to phoenix engine's code which mostly consists of Map<Integer, Map<String, Map<Integer, String>>>, int[][][][] and such (seems that Rizel is not good in using objects), I can say that its like comparing a beautiful lady to an ugly spoiled girl :) To be honest, I've got really disappointed from phoenix engine, its started good, but... ehh the support there sucks, I've reported so many bugs and problems and only a couple of them were fixed, it wasn't stable at all. I cant say that there aren't bugs at Nexus event engine, the engine is new and not fully tested, its understandable. As for the support - you don't get ignored like at phoenix engine, bug fixes don't get delayed with weeks, once reported, it gets fixed in the next days. The development is not as lazy as phoenix engine's. As for the events, yes, they aren't as many as phoenix engine, bit they are enough, all the main events players like are there, and the mini events are such a great add-on to the event engine. There will be new events released for sure, the engine is quite new, but it has the potential to be great. Summary: If you want a stable, flexible event engine with great support, get this one, you wont be disappointed. If you keep motivating this guy, the development of the engine will get even better. Such a great engine for such low price, its a shame to not get it, better hurry while the prices are still low, because once it gets better, it ain't going cheaper xD Everything is like that, if you sense that its going to become better, hurry and get it while you can :) P.S. All those bad reviews about Phoenix Engine are just from my point of view, I just need to compare Nexus engine with some other engine and since Phoenix engine is the only one available, I use it to compare Nexus with it. You can just ignore those bad reviews if you want, the engine is not so bad, I'm just not satisfied from it.
  12. This is fucking ridiculous... i've investigated for no more than 1 min and this is what i see:
  13. Not knowing the l2j code doesnt make you a noob, nor knowing the whole code makes you pro. Its all about experience. Also, l2j devs treat most ppl like that because they are just pissed off. Many idiots, leechers, noobs that think that they know a lot are behind all this. Because 90% of the l2j community is like that, l2j devs are used to treat ppl like that, even ppl that do not deserve it. Anyway, the reason that you got NPE is probably because somehow the account wasnt inside _loginServerClients
  14. When you successfully login at the server java/com/l2jserver/loginserver/clientpackets/RequestAuthLogin.java It requests char list on the successfully logged in account (it cant be nonexistant since it successfully logged in). The packet is sent to the GS and LoginServerThread processes it And eventually we reach ReplyCharacters... Now... after tracing all this, tell me how can you call this algorithm using invalid account?
  15. Its easy, simple and fast fix. I dont know what do you expect more than this... a LS-GS/GS-LS communication rework? Oh also there is a comment left in the no leechers zone of the l2jforums regarding you (i wont involve names here, i want to keep the poster anonymous, also i dont intend to offend you by this, its just an interesting comment that i want you to see):
  16. Sorry... I wanted to make a server crash java app, but i was too lazy to do it, so I've decided to do that. http://trac.l2jserver.com/changeset/4674
  17. Thanks for finding this mistake, unfortunately it wont live for long :)
  18. A friend's clan left the server and decided to sell the items it had They have shitloads of items, materials, enchants, adena... Yeah! Thats what im talkin' about, and its not all :) I will say the prices straight: S80 armor piece - 10e S armor piece - 3e (Full Armor is twice) A armor piece - 1e (Full Armor is twice) S weapon - 10e A weapon - 4e Ring of Core - 3e Ring of Queen Ant - 20e Zaken's Earring - 20e 500,000,000 adena - 5e For enchants, attribute stones, crystals, materials and recipes - send me a PM of what you want, and i will tell you if my friend has them or no. The price will be decided. If you want to buy something, PM ME with the item, and i will check if we have one, or no, if we do, i will tell you how the payment will proceed. If you are satisfied, please give me a good comment to motivate the other people, i will be grateful :)
  19. well... i will help you atm only with this since i dont have much time reading ur event... If i get it right, you want to create a method that when a mob is killed to decrease the mob count by 1... or smth like that If so, then i'd suggest you to create a new variable at Horde.java("mobCount" for example) and the folllowing getter/setter (getMobCount/setMobCount) then on doDie at L2HordeInstance use setMobCount(-1), to decrease the curreny mob count by 1...
  20. The idea is pretty nice tho, but the code can be done better...
  21. The server will be based on this project... and for the project, its not so important if the owner doesnt have knowledge... its important to keep it up
