Have you ever had a friend over that played CZ and they change your configs? I know I do. So I came up with this tut to help save time and the agony of reconfiging your configs. STEP 1: Locating your Config.cfg file. Start off by going to your CZERO folder located here: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\STEAMNAME\condition zero\czero STEP 2: Adding your friends config.cfg file. Have them send you or themself their config.cfg file. Then save the .cfg file to your desktop. Rename it to something besides config.cfg. I use config1.cfg. STEP 3: Loading your friends config.cfg file. Place the renamed config.cfg file into your CZERO folder (as described in STEP 1). Join any server and when your friend is playing, go into console (~), and type exec yourfriendsconfig.cfg and then hit enter. NOTE: Make sure they type the config.cfg file right. If they (or you) named it friend.cfg, then you type exec friend.cfg then hit enter. STEP 4: Restoring your config. While in game, go back into console (~) and type exec config.cfg then hit enter. Your configs should be restored back to how you play. SIDE NOTE: YOU MUST have one config file in your CZERO folder called config.cfg. If not then you won't have keys set when you start a game. ALSO: When saving the cfg file in STEP 2, make sure you SAVE AS configname.cfg. YOU MUST add the .cfg at the end or it will be saved as a .txt file and you will not be able to exec it in game. Well the trick is very easy to do... Before you delete the old counter strike just open "GAMEDIR\platform\config" folder and find the file "ServerBrowser.vdf" Copy or Cut that file somewhere because he contains all of your servers in the Favorites tab. After installing the new counter strike just replace the "ServerBrowser.vdf" in the "GAMEDIR\platform\config" folder. Credits: me for the guide.

Here are some good commands and tips, for cs 1.5 cs 1.5 dont work the same as cs 1.6 you dont add launch options through steam, but throught the short cut you have made, add the process patcher(THIS IS A VERY GOOD THING TO DO) 1. the first step, go into the directory where you have installed cs 1.5 usually C:\Sierra\Counter-Strike C:\Sierra\half-life 2. right click on half-life.exe, select create shortcut. 3. place the shortcut any where you want, 4. right click on the shortcut you made and select: properties. 5. in the "target box"( see screenshot) type: -game cstrike this will enable the process patcher which is a program that makes cs 1.5 more stable, and should eleminate most crashes, console 2.if you cant get your console up, usually the console should come up by pressing the " ` " key, 1. in the short cut you made right click and select properties, 2. in the "target" box write: -console 3. press ok and start cs 1.5 4. in cs 1.5 a menu called "console" should have appeared on the top. 5. click on it, and write this: bind "\" "toggleconsole" bind "`" "toggleconsole" 6. join a server and it should work. 3. want to enable 32 bit color?, this will make the graphics look a bit better, but you cant see through smoke, 1. to do this add: -32bpp to the launch options of cs 1.5. (see screenshot) 4. dont want to get that ipx error when joining a server? (this is only if you dont want to see the error. the error means nothing an should be ignored) add: -noipx to the cs 1.5 launch options. 5. if you would like to see the ping of the servers in the server browser add: -numericping to your cs 1.5 shortcut. offline game: i remember i was using panzer and pleaseleavemealone on gta vice city :d online game:i have cheated in l2 on doom server when it was c2 i have pted some people and make the pt by turn or smthing like that i dont exactly remember.. and told them to drop their items on the ground and if they pick them and they will get 50 mil.. :D so they were picking up the items and i got them :D
