Would you be able to make a custom login for Lineage Remaster? I know it's not Lineage 2, but the same company name so I'd thought I ask.
-
I have spent days on this forums, and others trying to find my answer but I can not find my answer. So, now I am putting up a thread to see if I can get some directions or pointers that will direct me the right directions.
I am working on development of Lineage 1 server, the version is same as one is out in Korea atm. I am looking for a game launcher for Lineage1, I thought that maybe since L2 also is coded in Java, and they used to use .bin file to launch there game some of the one l2 launchers may work. I tried that, but I do not know it failed and I just keep getting all sorts of errors.
BTW I am not a coding and just doing this to learn, no intention to make it a real private server or anything, as the I do not have the time management for that.
Since all my options for creating a game launcher failed, I went on to look for dissembling the original .exe file and perhaps I could change the ip address of the launcher to match my needs. Well, I found the ip address on the launchers, and matter of fact there was so many of them. I tried to changed the ip address using CFF explorer, but the address didn't change. Then I tired to open it up with IDA PRO, and tired to change it in there. Also got an error, I believe it write error.
So, now I am need of help on how to make the game launch with a good launcher. I do not need someone to make a guide for me, as I am capable of searching and trying things on my own. Just some pointer or what I should be doing would be grateful.
Thank you for reading my concerns.

You are the author?
If no, my thanks for pointing these tools out!
If yes, full praise for you! I never thought anyone to create(or create and share openly, with full source no less): .u decompiler or open .xdat editor. These are really significant contributions!
where you the same person who created lineage 1 private server? I remember that name.

has anyone tired these tools for other games beside l2? btw, thanks for the link :)

you can use any updaters with any games. for example try to use LameUpdaterLT. it's stable and more customizable. (it allows to start games with any options [for example: l2.exe -IP=127.0.0.1]. as well you can store start options in the server-side configuration file)
thank you for your help, i will give this a try and see what happens.

doesn't work for games that need to launch by .bin files.

would this work for another ncsoft game as well? I am not sure how l2 works, but I am currently developing an lineage 1 server, and looking for something that I can set ip and launch the game.

I am also looking for them. Bored and thought I play around with them again, been awhile since I last did this.

Very interested in this, but since I am a new comer and very little knowledge of coding, I have a few question if I may.
I assume since this works for L2j, it should have a problem with L1j as well?
Do you provide a guide on get started?
Do you provide support after purchase?

Anyone has the original source code/client/logger for l1j? I am looking for the latest or closet to live servers.

Honestly, I don't know much about it, but the way lineage 1 remaster works is very similar to the way Lineage 2 works in how to connect to the server via game launcher.
I am not much of a coder, but just basically translating the text/client files of lineage remaster. I have a connector that let's me connect via local machine, but can not via remote location.
Via local connecter, I double-click the launcher, it ask for user/pass. Logins and then starts the client. I believe it uses Lin.bin file to start the client.
I hope this makes sense, as I really am not a coder. I don't really need a custom lobby, just the game to login and start playing at a remote location.
