Hey, I recently saw a guide on maxcheaters on how to update cs 1.6 non steam with the 48 protocol update. I am using windows 7, so i downloaded the windows version, and extracted it into the 'Servers' folder.' I try to connect to a server that uses the 48 protocol, and it still tells me that i will need to download protocol 48 to play on the server. Please help me! Thanks.
