    opensuse or open solaris (really a modified unix) They have always been the most productive and progressive, they are more programmer / professional focused. If you are just a simple home user, they you migth want to go with something easy and friendly like freespire, or even fedora. Those are all free versions and have matching paid versions with commercial support as well.
