Dear players, we're launching our Open Beta Server on the 6th of January at 19:00 (GMT +1), and the server will remain open until the 10th of January. We encourage players to test our new features and the Winter event, providing valuable feedback. You'll have a chance to set your own level using our custom level command ".level 49" and purchase most items from the Beta Test NPC. Dear players, We have some exciting news to share with you, along with some important updates. Let's start with the good news. Our new Ertheia server is nearing completion and we're adding the finishing touches. We're eager to inform you about the grand opening date and new features we've added. Grand Opening Date Originally, we had planned to launch in November, but after careful consideration, we've decided on a new date January 12th, 2024 (12.1. 2024). The specific time will be announced later here and on our website. This decision is coming from our experience last year when we launched L2Ertheia in November. We found it challenging to manage the server and our real-life commitments simultaneously. As you may know a new server demands maximum attention, especially with the influx of new players seeking assistance and bug fixes. Many of you also shared our sentiment, as you had personal commitments that kept you from playing when your friends were grinding hard. New Features - Subject to change, these features can still change! We're introducing a considerable number of changes, thanks to improved tools and experiences. While we won't list every change here right now, you'll find detailed information on our website soon. We've revisited each location for levels 85 and above, making necessary adjustments. Some zones will see increased Adena drop ammounts, others will have boosted drop chances and a few will receive special enhancements. For example we felt that the "Fairy" zone was overly dominant early on, so we've enhanced the Garden of Genesis with significantly increased XP and added unique drops and spoils to its inhabitants. Now you can spoil/drop keys and recipes for Twilight armors (also full drops of course), providing easier access to get R90 gear early on. Next, we're making a significant change to Grand Bosses. You might recall the inconvenience of organizing sub-classes or "twinks" to defeat Grand Bosses like Queen Ant, Core, and Orfen. Well, now Grand Bosses are level 95+ with the potential to drop R-grade loot. This change will make them more manageable with fewer participants, leveling the playing field for everyone. And yes, Core is included in the list of Grand Bosses receiving significant updates. You can obtain the new Grand Boss jewel "Core's Soul Ring," which is particularly beneficial for tanks and support classes. Furthermore, there's a new way to access the Core Grand Boss, but we'll leave that discovery to you. Lastly, we're introducing a new progression system inspired by the "exalted" system on the retail server. You can collect special Exalted Coins and purchase valuable powers, such as permanent character/class-bound skills. These skills won't be game-changing but will enhance your overall quality of life in the game. Examples include AOE Party Noblesse or expanded inventory limits. Change in Direction Our original vision involved running two servers, one non-seasonal and one seasonal, with the intention of merging them at the end of each season. While we worked on tools for this merge, we encountered numerous challenges related to clans, castles, character names, heroes, and more. In the middle of this development, we observed that our current live server had very few active players. Maintaining a high-quality server with the services you deserve while keeping it online for a handful of players isn't cheap. It costs hundreds of dollars each month running server like that along with an extensive amount of development time to create the necessary merging tools. Therefore, we've decided to shut down our main server and focus solely on the new one for now. We'll revisit this idea in the future, as we genuinely love it, but it's not worth it for just a small number of players. Closing Donations/Server Today, we're closing all donations. L2Ertheia's current server will be closing on November 1, 2023, and the new server will launch on January 12, 2024. We want to express our heartfelt thanks for your support and feedback. We truly appreciate your contributions to our community and we hope to see you at the beta and grand opening of the new server L2Ertheia Remastered.
