i know what reverse engineering is and what i've figured out so far is that you use obfuscator in order to prevent source to be modified so its the protection of the core and not server. i got it.

yes, a hardcoding to prevent reverse engineering etc. .. and?

yGuard bytecode Obfuscator 2.5.2 all in all which one of those 3rd party guards are ok? and do i even need them? cuz i ran a lot of servers without any Guard systems and everything seemed normal.

Hello, guys i had problem with lameguard so i disabled it on my server now i've yGuard and FirstGuard. Can those 2 replace Lameguard or do i need to get new version of it? and how do you think is it even worth to run Guards like that?

Thanx a lot it helped when i disabled lameguard inside client but when i open lameguard.jar there are .class files which i can't edit imo but starting server without lameguard is lame xD i've got yGuard and Firstguard will those work instead of lameguard or any ideas?

Well first of all hello and i know there are lot of threads about this but what i've seen so far none of them works for me :( well first of all im using LRServ H5 Server files i ran server testing for couple of days on my Local computer and everything seemed fine. Today i switched to Dedicated server (Ubuntu 12 if that matters) so i only changed IP s in the config and ran the server.. Everything is fine without any error i edited IP in l2.ini and when i typed my username and password i got to the server choosing screen and when i press the server it says "Disconnected" and "Different protocol version" I tried setting protocol to 1-999 in Server.ini also i checked protocol in l2.exe and its 268. i tried different patch - still doesnt work. p.s i was playin on local with the same client files and same config only thing that i changed was IPs Any ideas?!
