[Help][EN] Freya Armor Animations

I've tried to find those new lightning animations in Elegia chest armor and shoulders ( blue sets ) but i hit dead end with umodel and utpt ... i cant find any info in armorgrp from where armor is taking those lightnings, and umodel is not showing any textures in files with which i can make some texpanner or material sequence like the fire texture for Bofess sets ( old vesper dark sets with flame animations in Freya ). Using original Freya textures and importing them to Gracia Epilogue show bad alpha so i cant use them without edits. Any idea / info would be nice. Thanks for your time and have a nice day :) .

Only the shoulder pads are different models, the armor itself is the same model as normal Vesper, so you only need the textures. I just used umodel -export MHuman.utx etc. with all, I think you just put them together from there. The new dynasty armor is just another color so that's pretty much still the same (NCsoft goes client modding ^^ changing colors xD)

 

It's just a texpanner like they did with the Vesper weapons. I could take a look at it but Im really lazy these days sorry :p

Not only shoulder pads have animations on them :) blablaif.jpg I'm talking about those animations and i cant find them anywhere inside any (RACE).utx located in systextures. Funny thing is that they are shown in korean client without any errors on textures ( i took this screen in corean client ) and in Epilogue client chest texture alpha is wrong around the neck but those animations are there .... If i just correct alpha, textures are perfect in Epilogue but without animations thats why i'm looking for some help to locate that animation or whatever that thing is :) As for green crap sets .... i dont even want to remember i saw them .... old dynasty sets are far more better. Those green sets use some orange cube maps .... green + white + orange reflection .... distastful, nothing like old lineage items.

yes, I said you probably just need to use a panner, I think you can just check the values with UTPT. Good luck.

 

PS: Yea the textures were ugly first, with black parts (alpha), but if you update (run korean updater again) you get good ones :)

 

PS: ye I agree on the Green dynasy; what were they thinking? o.O

I You fixed *.utx file to look into it with UTPT:

- go to UTPT,

- find Class Shader for choosed armor part,

- right click on it / View Obiect Properties + ancestors,

- SelfIllumination is what You are looking for... :]

@LauQ its not panner but fire texture class real time annimation ;) And my Korean client is fully updated and thextures there are perfect as shown on that picture :)

 

@Martin22 those armors use diffuse ( combiner ) // opacity (_ori file) // specular ( TexEnvMap with cube light ) // specularity mask ( _sp file ) ... nothing more nothing less.

 

Thank you booth for your replies, now i just need to understand those "fire textures" coz i've never used such texture class before :)

I misunderstood, I was confused with the Red Vesper with the fire panner you know :p

 

I just checked: it makes use of a palette (MFighter.Attach.Palette3), which you can't acquire from umodel nor UTPT, so a dead end indeed I guess :/

Also indeed, this class hasn't been used before and I dont have experience with it either...

Well, I adapted those 3 Freya Armors to Gracia Final, and at this armor that You want to adapt animated is only upper body + shoulder pads. Also, at upper body animated is only front part...Anywa, take a look:

Parts of armor marked with red circle are animated - whole rest of armor is not animated :)

Ech, but whats the problem to make it like TexPanner ? There is sp2 so it should blend what You need...That should be even easier ^^

LauQ - You should read what I wrote as well...I already told You - Fire armor use TexPanner, so its no problem cuz We can make TexPanner in UE. The Palette - I already told You: MAKE IT AS TexPanner :] Take original textures, make utx but with TexPanner instead of Palette. So whats the problem ? For me its working just fine.

 

BTW: TexPanner for Fire Vesper: p_r1 (at UpBoddy). Texture for this TexPanner: pp1 (at UpBoddy) :) Use _ori and _sp for it; _sp2 blend TexPanner ^^ Thats all.

Problem was with my game options and its solved now. Thanks to Martin22 (aka Ave) and LauQ, and you can close/lock this topic. Although i did not find a way to recreate those lightnings. Maybe when EU / NA Freya client is out i'll manage to understand how it works.
