Ma3x* Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 CreditL nblov Now today I will show you how to create a powerful Whirl Wind Effect. Step 1: Let's start. Step 2: Press "d" to reset your color. Now apply Filter> Render> Clouds and then Filter> Render> Difference Clouds. Step 3: Apply Image> Adjustments> Invert or press Ctrl+I. Then apply Image> Adjustments> Levels with the following settings (move a blur center): Step 4: Now Apply Image> Adjustments> Color Balance and apply these settings: Step 5: In this step apply Filter> Blur> Radial Blur with the following settings: Step 6: Duplicate a layer and set the blending mode as "Lighten". Apply Filter> Disort> Twirl with the Angle: +300. Then merge down two layers (Ctrl+E). After meging the layers your effect look's like: Step 7: Again duplicate a layer and set the blending mode as "Lighten". Apply Filter> Disort> Twirl with the Angle: -600. Merge down two layers (Ctrl+E). Step 8: Duplicate a layer. Apply Filter> Disort> Twirl with the Angle: +300. Set the blending mode as "Pin Light" and then apply Image> Adjustments> Color Balance with the following settings: After this merge down two layers (Ctrl+E). And that's it. Here's is the final result!
