About RAM/CPU?

Tsili is a QTPIE

I want to buy this CPU: http://ark.intel.com/products/65719/Intel-Core-i7-3770-Processor-%288M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz%29

In specs says that you're able to run till 1600 Mhz, like all Intels Processors.

I wanna ask, is that possible to put RAM's at 1866 Mhz? If yes, it will run at 1600 or 1866?

Thanks.

Even if you put 1600mhz RAMs, they won't run at that speed, since rams are set to run at half speed by the manufacturer. So, even if you get a 1866mhz ram, it will run by default @ 933mhz (you need to overclock them, to get the 1866 clock). But yea, you can put a 1866mhz RAM and you can acquire the 1866mhz clock(provided that you have a compatible mobo) , only by overclocking it though.

p.s: my point is that if you aren't going to overclock the RAM, don't bother getting a 1866.

Yea I know I have to overclock them and also I know that Mobo must support 1866 Mhz.

But in CPU Specs, it says 1333/1600. For example, at the moment I have the AMD 8150, which it's specifications says about RAM that you're able to put till 2400.

So, If I overclock them at 1866 Mhz, will they work normally or I'll have some issue?

Well, they will function at those clocks, but the cpu may not be able to fully take advantage of them. But yea, it's supported, since it has to do with the motherboard, not with the cpu.
