[HELP]installing database

Hello. When I open Microsoft sql servers management studio and press on New query i choose for server type: database engine, then on server name: localhost and on anthetication i add windows anthetication, then I click the connect button and i get the following error:

 

TITLE: Connect to Server

Cannot connect to localhost.

 

------------------------------

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

 

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server.  When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 2)

How can i fix it?

If it's possible someone move this topic at the help section. Sorry for my mistake.

Why are you posting a Microsoft SQL problem in a java based thread? If you are using L2J then use MySQL as it is much easier.

 

If you are referring to L2OFF stuff then there is a seperate section for it.
