Dear fans of Lineage 2 Pride Style! I hope I created this topic in the right place.
I'll tell you briefly about my goal. I am new here and I was once a nerdy L2 player and played on so many different servers. But my favorite server was L2Pride Gracia Final. I haven’t played anywhere for a long time and was waiting for someone to finally bring this server back and with good support and the right approach. All the servers that existed until today were an attempt to make money, and it was done terribly and did not even have a normal website. They didn’t even deign to spend money on advertising to seriously boost this server and return it to the players. Well, I decided to take on this matter purely out of respect for those old times and the old people who played there. I want this server to live and work again one more time. I ask for your moral support in this matter. I invite all fans to one more and final shot to revive this server. I will devote my time, money and heart to this business and I want you to be with me too and we can again enjoy this server but this time with quality services. Connect with me if you have any wishes or suggestions regarding this server. Please don't judge me. This is my dream and I want to fulfill it.

So far I have created a discord server for a crowd of people. After preparing the server and website, advertising will begin in all gaming platforms and also in MaxCheaters.

Nothing against it, but people should confidently share who they are. There's nothing to worry about, and we all know there's nobody new in this L2 servers business. 🙂

Hi mates,  I'm having problems with the system. When I add something in ItemName-e I get this error.
Does anyone know how to solve it?

    History: FMallocWindows::Malloc <- Size -732658304 FArray <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 00000000 -732658304 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 1964319072*4 <- TArrayL2FNameSerialize <- FL2SetItemData::Serialize <- FL2ItemDataBase::Serialize <- FL2ItemNameDataManager::Serialize <- FL2GameData::LoadL2DataBin <- FL2GameData::ItemNameDataLoad <- FL2GameData::Load <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

Could it be that I have reached the limit of items?

I don't think so. Add a few of them at a time to see which one is causing the issue.

  4. There are numerous small features that, while not necessarily time-consuming, can become as mundane as quests. Introducing something similar but more engaging, such as missions or achievements, provides players with ongoing activities, adding depth to the gameplay. By withholding some features initially and gradually introducing updates and changes, players remain engaged and interested over the long term, contributing to the server's longevity.

  5. Realistically speaking, it's not advisable to rely on any public project for a significant live project. In 2024, it's preferable to invest more and purchase server files that have been online for a substantial amount of time, ensuring stability and reliability from the start. Alternatively, you could consider collaborating with other server owners to invest in higher-quality files together.

  6. I continue to receive pms from individuals purchasing packs, which I then analyze. Among these, I've encountered instances of what is purported to be a "Lucera source," which is essentially an older version of aCis with the packages renamed to Lucera. Additionally, there are cases where individuals send me peculiar packs claiming to be aCis, and so on. This indicates a significant prevalence of scams in the market. People seem to prefer private conversations over public forums, which poses a risk, particularly for inexperienced server owners seeking a better l2j pack.

@Tryskell,  I've noticed some promising commits recently, although I'm not actively using it. Still, I'm keeping a close eye on it. 🙂

  7. It's all about finding the right balance between quality and time. If you're aiming to launch a project quickly, the files quality will definitely affect its future success. On the other hand, you can turn any project into a success if you're willing to put in the time. Server owners have to make this choice.

If you're ready to invest more money, it might make more sense to buy files from a reputable, stable server. This can save you time on fixing problems later.

L2JMobius has its issues and other factors to consider, but it's a good deal for what you pay.

But blaming just the admins or the players isn't cool. Both sides contribute to the problem in their own ways.

those are not bugs, this is how players learned to have them from the buggy servers, if you correct them they shout buug server failllllllllll and stuff like that

You don't always have to heed players, especially when they are mistaken. I engage in discussions with mine and convey how things are meant to be // or how I want them to be, and why.

Hey there, just to be clear I'm not asking for a guide or anything like that. Just starting a discussion.
So here we go. Been back to L2 some months now on/off. Playing around on different servers and on my own server too (mostly for fun nothing serious). I mostly played interlude and hi5 for this time period, I've met people and to my surprise on a discussion they've mentioned some bugs that worked on known servers, not too far back. I won't mention any server names as to not de-fame any server. But I will mention some bugs mentioned to me and some I've witnessed myself. Double buffs (such as improved combat and might stacked), players getting healed outside of town (npc buffer), double stats from certain items, castle engraver not receiving damage/debuffs (without celestial/FOI). It's amazing how such an old game can still "generate" bugs to this day. Makes you wonder how many exploits and bugs existed back in the good old days and the majority of players knew nothing about it. I do understand that it has lots to do with the used packs, JAVA vs OFF and so on but I do find it interesting hearing others experiences and opinions on this matter.

Whether it's L2OFF or L2J, the platform doesn't make a significant difference these days. Both can either be stable or have issues depending on the server's developer or administrator's commitment. I've encountered numerous L2OFF servers with peculiar bugs as well. What truly matters is the respect the staff shows to the community. Personally, I take note of every bug and publicly document them so that everyone can monitor the progress of fixes and see which known bugs still need attention.

Certainly, some bugs may have lower priority or require extensive debugging and testing, which can prolong the fixing process. However, I firmly believe that what's crucial for the staff is to openly share all of this information and not hesitate to acknowledge the existence of these bugs.

  10. You can take pride in the fact that other servers have borrowed ideas from yours. Many servers have adopted elements from mine, and I find that gratifying rather than frustrating, knowing that I was the first.

Many servers, including some prominent ones today - they know who they are, have consistently followed this practice. They assert that they are not pay-to-win, but in reality, they engage external markets to sell items on their behalf, ultimately generating revenue.

This has always happened, and I don't see anything new.

Years ago, there were servers that were much greedier. They would sell in-game items and even partial GM privileges to their biggest donors for the right price. So, I don't believe our current era is the worst.

This game has been around for a while, and the primary reason it's still being played is due to private servers.
